Dosage:
0 to 6 months give 0.50 ml. twice a day.
6 months & above give 1.00 ml. twice a day.

Why need vitamin D3 for infant and breastfed babies?
Infants who are exclusively breastfed but who do not receive supplemental vitamin D3 or adequate sunlight exposure are at increased risk of developing vitamin D3 deficiency and/or rickets7,10−12,14,18,81. Infants with darker pigmentation are at greater risk of vitamin D3 deficiency.131
Sunlight exposure and vitamin D3:
Historically, the main source of vitamin D3 has been via synthesis in the skin from cholesterol after exposure to UV-B light. The multitude of factors that affect vitamin D3 synthesis by the skin,27 the most important of which is degree of skin pigmentation, make it difficult to determine what is adequate sunshine exposure for any given infant or child.97−99 However, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises that infants younger than six months avoid exposure to direct sunlight due to skin cancer risk.
Vitamin D3 recommendations:
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends all children and an infant including adolescents has to get 400 IU of vitamin D3 per day beginning soon after birth, an amount that is not possible to get from breast milk alone, experts say.
FUN-D3 drops are ideally suited for infants (ages 0-1 years of age). It is specifically designed for breastfed babies and infants. Only one ml is required to provide the full day dose which is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
